Missouri Mars Mavens Advocacy Events

For decades, achievements of NASA have spanned human spaceflight, planetary science, Earth science, astrophysics, and technology. The benefits stretch far beyond the actual knowledge gained. Now their budget is under siege. The Trump administration proposed a new figure of $18.8 billion, a reduction of almost one-fourth compared to NASA's FY 2025 budget, with the severest cuts to astrophysics, heliophysics, and Earth science.

We've entered an era where leadership means breaking things you don't understand or don't value, then seeing who hollers. Space exploration succeeds best when elements that make it up, scientific investigation, national concerns, and commerce, all participate. You can't have a bright future if someone turns out the lights! And you won't get what you need if you remain silent. It's time for us to holler about the NASA budget! Missouri Mars Mavens will sponsor events to advocate for expanded NASA funding. Interested individuals will meet with elected representatives who vote on this, to tell them how this affects our future.

Some training will be provided for participants. Click below, and we will keep you informed about timing and locations for this important work.
